Public Board

The Public Board was established under the University Charter ( Art. 7.2) and the decision of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv Staff Conference on 17 May 2016. The Public Board performs public oversight of the implementation of decisions made by the University Staff Conference. Within the framework of its activities, the Public Board is guided by the current legislation of Ukraine, orders and decrees of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Regulations on the Public Board, the Charter of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, and decisions of the Conference of the University’s Staff. The Public Board carries out its activities based on the principles of openness, equality, integrity, morality, impartiality and professionalism, on a public basis. 

The Public Board is a body of the University Staff Conference consisting of nine members, which functions for one year. 

According to the decision of the University Staff Conference on 21 December 2023, the following members were approved for the Public Board: 

  • Mykhailo Mykyievych – Head of the Department of European Law, Professor, Chair of the Public Council.

  • Yulian Bek – Associate Professor, Department of Civil Law and Procedure; Head of the Primary Trade Union Committee.

  • Yuliia Hrytsenko – Senior Editor of the Press Center; Deputy Head of the Primary Trade Union Committee; Secretary of the Public Council.

  • Svitlana Hnatush – Head of the Department of Microbiology, Professor.

  • Volodymyr Kyrylych – Head of the Department of Mathematical Economics, Econometrics, Financial and Insurance Mathematics, Professor.

  • Oleksii Sukhyi – Head of the Department of Modern History of Ukraine named after Mykhailo Hrushevsky, Professor.

  • Volodymyr Moroz – Head of the Administrative Department of the University; Associate Professor, Department of Management and Product Expertise.

  • Yelyzaveta Olenska – Third-year student, Faculty of Pedagogical Education.

  • Viktoriia Symko – Student, Faculty of History; Deputy Head of the Student Government.
