Lviv University has terminated the Memorandum of Cooperation with Nestle

One of the important tasks of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv in the current conditions of war is to encourage not only the international academic but also the political and business communities of Europe and the world to join in with sanctions against the aggressor country, to make an appeal to our partners to take drastic actions in furtherance of condemnation of outrage upon humanity and blatant violations of international law.

Many of the leading multinational corporations have broken off relations with Russia and made the expected decision to exit the Russian market. However, not all big business entities have shown the same solidarity with Ukraine. In particular, Nestle, with which Lviv University signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in a number of areas of training and education activities, has gone on record about its decision to continue working in Russia.

Ukraine’s national security, independence, Ukrainian citizens’ lives and liberty are absolute values that are unacceptable to question, especially for financial gains. Taking into consideration all these circumstances, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv has terminated the Memorandum of Cooperation with Nestle.
