On February 3rd , 2021, a meeting of the Academic Council of Ivan Franko Lviv National University took place. The meeting was moderated by the Rector of the University, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Professor Volodymyr Melnyk.
The key issue on the agenda was the scholarship limit approval. In particular, the meeting approved the general limit of scholarship holders who will be awarded an academic scholarship, including an academic scholarship for outstanding academic achievements. In percentage terms this limit will be 45%. The Academic Council also approved the honored students limit who will be awarded an academic scholarship for outstanding academic achievements – 15.5%, respectively.
Besides, the list of candidates for the President of Ukraine and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine scholarships, academic scholarships named after V.M. Chornovil and M.S Hrushevsky, as well as the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine bursaries to university students from among orphans and children from low-income families was approved.
During the meeting the list of single-purpose council for one-time thesis defense was approved and thesis preliminary examination was appointed.
