On January 15, 2024, at the initiative of the Department of European and Regional Studies, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Faculty of International Relations of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv and the Lviv Municipal Enterprise “Lviv Bureau of European Integration”. On behalf of the faculty, the Memorandum was signed by the dean of the faculty, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, professor Markiyan Malskyy, and on behalf of the Bureau by the director of LKP, Olena Pavlyuk, who is a graduate of the Faculty of International Relations.
Markiyan Malskyy emphasized the importance of this cooperation for the realization of Ukraine’s European integration aspirations and in the context of training highly qualified practitioners at the Faculty of International Relations. Olena Pavlyuk noted the value of cooperation for the Lviv urban territorial community in the development of new joint projects in the field of European integration at the local level and the inclusion of Lviv and the Lviv Oblast to European norms and standards.
The parties agreed to cooperate in the organization of educational and training projects, to hold joint events and events, in particular in the field of support and development of the European integration of the Lviv urban territorial community with the European Union community, as well as to ensure the implementation of educational practice for students of the Faculty of International Relations based on the Lviv Bureau of European Integration.
It should be noted that during January 17-30 of this year, more than 40 students of the “European Studies” educational program of the Faculty of International Relations will undergo an internship at the Lviv Bureau of European Integration, where students will perform tasks related to the development of projects in the field of European integration of the Lviv City Territorial Community.
