The Representatives of 19 countries of the world participated in the 4th French International conference

The 4th French international scientific and practical interdisciplinary conference “Languages, sciences and practices” (4-ième Colloque international francophone en Ukraine “Langues, Sciences et Pratiques”) started on On 8 April 2021. The scientific forum due to the quarantine restrictions was held online having gathered professionals of different specilaities from 19 countries of the world.

Professor Roman Hladyshevskyi, the vice-president for research of the university, the corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine greeted the participants of this large-scale event in French. Having marked the importance of multidimensionality of the conference and having mentioned cultural and scientific connections of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv with French intellectual centres, Roman Yevhenovych wished all the participants a fruitful collaboration within the following 2 days of work at the conference.

Research and university collaboration attaché of the Embassy of France in Ukraine Alix de Gassart in her speech highlighted the close collaboration between the Embassy and the university in, saying it was the element of the international collaboration.

Mohamed Ketata, the head of the eastern and central regions of the Francophone university agency (FUA) stressed that Lviv university takes an active part in the realization of goals and priorities the FUA has. Therefore, French-speaking students have the chance to participate in the projects offered by the Agency.

Luibomyr Borakovskyi, the dean of the Faculty of foreign languages also wished all the participants a successful collaboration and great results.

Then the participants presented their reports. The presentation covered a wide range of problems in field of science, humanities and social sciences. The conference was held in 5 sections, namely “linguistics, French languages”, “French literature”, “Didactics”, “Economics” and “Science”.

Different scientists, scholars and professors in different spheres from Azerbaijan, Algeria, Belgium, Belarus, Bulgaria, Iran, Jordan, Côte d`Ivoire, Madagascar, Morocco, Moldova, Nigeria, Poland, Senegal, the USA, Tunis, France, Montenegro and Ukraine participated in the confrerence.

The organizers of the conference stated that the main goal of the conference is popularizing the French language and culture in Ukraine as well as encouraging the realization of joint projects between Ukraine, Eastern Europe and French speaking. Countries.
