The dissertation is devoted to the analysis of the dialogue between the
Church and society in the light of new media discourse. A review key concepts
and strategies of this type of communication in new media is based on
theoretical and methodological developments with emphasis on topics
discourse theory and the concept of dialogue speech. Presented by purely
practical understanding of the communication triangle “Church – New media –
Society” against the background of challenges Ukrainian society, through
significant events of years 2000-2015 Orange Revolution, Euromaidan,
Russian-Ukrainian war. Discovered prospects of communication strategies
between the Church and society in the network – on the background of social
networks and the blogosphere. The sociological research (survey among
seminarians, students, journalists, religious readers of the site and journalists
working in the network) showed that all communication couples interested in
communication quality coverage of religious issues on the Internet, tend to be
open to discussion and want to improve communication in the new
media most of all.
