Annotation

The thesis is the first effort of lexical-semantic and structural-derivational
analysis of microtoponyms of Sambirskyy cyrkul of the end of XVIII – the beginning
of XIX cc. (on the material of onyms fixed in Josyphinska (1785–1788) and
Francyscanska (1819–1820) metrics).
The meaning and features of the concept of ˮmicrotoponymˮ is presented. It is
separated lingual and extra lingual features of microtoponymy. Josyphinska (1785–1788)
and Francyscanska (1819–1820) metrics are analyzed as a source of research of
microtoponymy of Sambirskyy cyrkul. Methodology of processing the historical
microtoponomy, methods of selecting onyms from the context of metrics are described. It
is used general scientific and linguistic methods in dissertation. The review of researches
of Ukrainian and Slavic linguists in the domain of microtoponymic is made.
Lexical-semantic analysis of creating stems (motivational bases) of names of
microobjects is described. Proprial units are divided into two groups: deappellatives
and deonyms. Deappellatives are motivated by the geographical nomenclature of the
region and by anthropogenic factors. Deonymic names are deanthroponymic and
detoponymic ones. It is found out that deanthroponymic names are derived from
protosurnames of the end of XVIII – the beginning of XIX cc. Detoponymic
microtoponyms are divided into three groups: derivatives from oykonyms, motivated
by microtoponyms, formed from hydronyms.
Structure of historical microtoponymy is analyzed. According to the structure
of the microtoponymy of Sambirskyy cyrkul, it is divided into simple, complex,
compound onyms and prepositional forms. Simple onyms are single-word names,
which are formed via lexical-semantic, affixal, morphological-syntactic ways, and
lexicalization of prepositional forms. Complex names are the result of lexical-
syntactic way and stem compilation. Composed propriatives are a combination of
two, three and more full-value components. Microtoponyms-prepositional forms are a
combination of prepositions with case forms of common and proper names.
Structural-derivational changes of microtoponymy of Sambirskyy cyrkul are
described. Evidence of the dynamic processes in the microtoponymy is the parallel
nomination of denotat. It is selected phonetic, word-formation, lexical, morphological,
syntactic, graphic and combined variants of names of microobjects.
