Information on the thesis

In  the  present  thesis  the  current  and  proposed  new  approaches  to  streamlining  the
mechanism of government regulation of the sphere of funeral services in Ukraine.
On the basis of analysis of foreign experience, the basic criteria of regulation of the
market of funeral services are outlined. The generalized algorithm and analysis of funeral
servicing offer an opportunity to understand the role of the government in the regulation of
this market.
The author stresses on the necessity to elaborate a unified system of regulation and to
utilize  a  programmed  and  special-purpose  method  of  stimulating  the  sphere  of  funeral
services in Ukraine. The creation of quality system of regulation is to be grounded on co-
regulation in the form of private and government partnership.
The  author  states  that  it  is  necessary  to  elaborate  and  approve  government
anticorruption programme, adjustment of customer service by the means of unified control
service of funeral services is to be an integral part of the anticorruption programme.
The implementation of the stated proposals on how to streamline the mechanism of
government regulation of funeral services in Ukraine will build and develop competitive
market.
