Information on the thesis

The aim of dissertation research is to investigate the experience of world economy due to export-led growth. The theoretical and methodological approaches of international trade and evaluating the effectiveness of export strategies are profound. The authors’ definition of export-oriented strategy of the state is offered: political and economic system of market and public methods, tools for stimulation the export competitive sectors with the aim of acceleration the economic development and that is implemented in a favourable institutional environment. The criteria of successful strategy by the «SMART» principle are identified (Streamlined realization, Meaningful for development, Adaptable to the world changes, Relevant in current conditions, based on Transparent institutional environment).

Scientific approaches of determining the factors of economic restructuring are improved based on comparative analysis of the economic growth and trade structure by using time series statistical data as the representation of the direct effect of creation the competitive export sectors for the development of the national economy and its competitiveness on the world market. The main factors of export strategies efficiency based on econometric estimation and characteristic features of macroeconomic policy and institutional environment of Southeast Asia and Europe are determined for a comprehensive definition of appropriate methods and tools of export strategy formation with taking into account the national features. Among the main macroeconomic factors: monetary policy, resources productivity, the development of high-technology export, investment. The institutional factors: corruption control, government effectiveness, political stability, the quality of the regulatory and business environment, the level of economic freedom.

Place of Ukraine in the global trading system is identified by analysing the trade structure and policy, institutional environment and the Ukraine-Polish trade relations that let to identify problems and prospects of states’ economic growth.

Based on the results of a comprehensive dissertation research author proposes the mechanism of a successful export-oriented strategy of economic growth and competitiveness of the state that is realized through defined objectives, methods and tools due to factors of effective monetary policy, enabling institutional and business environment, the diversified development of competitive export sectors, and with strategy adaptation to national, political and geographical features of the country.
