This thesis analyzes the intercultural aspect of the German language personality and its universal, individual, cultural, national, religion, linguistic and social characteristics appearing during the intercultural communicative interactions.

The language personality as an individual phenomenon contains prototypical signs of three levels of abstraction, which expose and elucidate its uniqueness.

The language personality as a dynamic and functional organized system is regularly structured in a certain matter which is reflected in its several structural models, including the verbal –semantic and the linguacultural aspects (thesaurus and pragmatic components).

The research of the German language personality takes in consideration the verbal-semantic component of the intercultural aspect, namely the use of Arabisms in order to clarify and describe the intercultural (German-Arabic) language competence of the German language personality.

The analysis of Arabisms in diachronic and synchronic enables to ascertain the chronology, the ways of borrowing of Arabisms in the German language, and besides to clarify their thematic diversity in the lexicon of the modern German language personality.

The study revealed that the borrowing of Arabisms in the German language occurred and occurs using divergent methods, a) directly, as a consequence of the huge contacts of Arabs with the German community, b) indirectly, through several translations from the Latin, French, Italian, Spanish and other languages to the German language.

According to the degree of assimilation, Arabisms are divided into fully assimilated and unassimilated in the system of the German language. The unassimilated Arabisms retain the relation with the original source language and immediately will be recognized as foreign lexical unities in the German language personality.

In the modern lexicon of the German language personality was established 23 thematic groups of Arabisms. The most voluminous number of Arabisms were been considered according to the thematic “religion and Islamic sciences”, “sciences”, “Arabic social life and hierarchy”, “ fixed names and designations ”, “ politics ”, “ daily life”.

According to the criterion of completeness and correctness of the interpretation of Arabisms in lexicographical sources and in the different readings in the communication, it was determined Arabisms, which are not completely and adequately interpreted in lexicographical sources, and those which are interpreted and comprehended in accordance with the Arabic speaking countries.

The research of the intercultural aspect of the German language personality confirms the conclusions of linguists concerning formation of the mixed communications which can be considered as the appearance of language (particularly the Arab-German).

In the works of German-language literature, different attempts were been established in order to insert some religious Arabisms into the social life. Additionally, Arabisms which indicate state and religious posts became some characters of fairytales and mythology.

The problem of integration of Muslim community into European society rises in the German-language literature of migrants which attempt to find its solution. The main objective of the imam sees in a real clarifying of Islam, its values which are explained on the basis of some lexical unities used in the mosques. In the German journalism, few of religious Arabisms are politicized and covered with ideologies which engender negative sense, like the ideology of extremist and fanatic organizations.

The long-term debate remarked on the pages of magazines and newspapers about integration of Muslims and Arabs into European society approves indubitably the fact that the German language statements contain a considerable number of Arabisms despite the fact that the most of those Arabisms have a German translation.

The intercultural aspect of the German language personality needs further researches and analyses concerning the intercultural language competence, and the question of borrowing of German words in the Arabic language and their interpretations by the Arabic language personality.

Key words: communication, language personality, verbal communication, intercultural competence, Arabisms, assimilation, integration.
