newly introduced sources, namely Halychyna school grammar books of the Ukrainian

the evolution characteristics and the role of these units in further development of word
formation terminology.

(360 units) and sources (63 units), as well as supplements which include information of
biographic nature about relatively unknown authors of grammars, materials to historic

and word formation classes in Ohonovskyi’s grammar.

publications, as well research scope. The first chapter discloses the aspects of studying
linguistic terminology in general and word formation in particular, namely the theoretical
