Information on the thesis

The Dissertation is a complex research of institutionalization of political participation of youth during the period of independence of Ukraine. The concept «institutionalization of political participation» has been determined as a process of formation of institutes which legalize and legitimize new forms of attraction of citizens to political and authoritative relations, individual or group actions of subjects of political process with the aim of influence on structures of power for all-round modernization of public life. Contradictions in institutionalization of political participation have been displayed which are predefined by disparity of formal institutes of democratic practices and realities of co-operation of subjects of political and authoritative relations. On the basis of research of dynamics of political participation of youth during the period from the «revolution on granite» in 1990 till the present time and severance of ways of bringing in the youth to political and authoritative relations in Ukraine cleared up that the majority of youth is only potentially active, however limitations of freedom of choice, ignoring of personal and public priorities, destruction of prospects of vital trajectories and integration aspirations stimulate wide bringing in of youth to different forms of conventional and non conventional political participation.
