Annotation

The thesis investigates the initial principles of social being in the organic unity of
spiritual and material components: socio-psychological and spiritual qualities of man, the
metaphysical foundations of his social life and principles of social being. The constitutive
role of the beginnings in human life and society is justified. The interrelation of material
and spiritual components in human life are analyzed and the necessity of spiritual priority
in the conditions of existential vacuum and anthropological-global catastrophe is proved.
The genesis of European and Ukrainian metaphysics has been studied and found that it is
organically combined with a hierarchical understanding of human essence.
The metaphysical theory of personality is formulated. A person in the process of
individual growth is able to undergo four stages of the spiritual development dependent
personality, mediocre personality, personality itself and genius, and may stop at the stage
of dependent or mediocre. The organic connection of human qualities, forms of social
being is substantiated and the concepts are formulated: the “impersonal paradigm of
human being” and “the personal paradigm of human being”. The philosophical and
methodogical basis for the transformation of the impersonal paradigm of human being into
a personal one is investigated.
It is revealed that personality is the personification of the first beginning and
principles of social being. The genesis of personality theories in the history of philisophy
is analyzed. It is revealed that in the history of social philosophy two approaches to
understanding of human spiritual essence are clearly traced: hierarchical, elitist
(“personality is the principle of being”) and humanistic, egalitarian (“every person is an
individual”), between which there is a worldview struggle. It is revealed that personality is
the personification of the spirit and principles of social being.
There are two forms of human and social existence: impersonal and personal. The
subject of activity in the impersonal paradigm is an average person who relies on the
priority of the material things, while the noble person, guided by the priority of the
spirituality is the subject of activity in the personal paradigm. On the basis of metaphysical
theory it is proved that the mediocre person has become a constitutive element of the
impersonal life forms, and social being is the struggle of the impersonal beginning with
the personal.
It is proved that realization of a personal existence idea requires metaphysical and
conceptual characters. Metaphysical characters should be philosophers who define the
system of concepts on the basis of which the development of personal society should be
carried out, and the psychologist, educator and artist are conceptual characters who form
the personal principle of man and society. The role and significance of metaphysical and
conceptual characters in the process of development and acceptance of socially significant
decisions in the conditions of discursive-communicative practices are analyzed.
The mission of the philosopher in the conditions of crisis of impersonal being is
defined. Overcoming the conflict between the impersonal and the personal requires a
revival of the role and importance of the philosopher and philosophy in society. In the
event of the crisis of impersonal being, philosophers must take responsibility for solving
the following problems: first, to revive the principle of the spiritual hierarchy and to prove
its theoretical and practical potential; second, to substantiate the theoretical and practical
significance of the metaphysical theory of personality; third, to prove that the struggle for
a personalized origin with the personal is the leading tendency in the development of both
being and the world spirit; forth, to formulate a social order for the spiritual perfection of
man and the Ukrainian state ideology and to bring it to the minds of citizens. The role and
significance of psychologist, educator and artist in the conditions of the need to transform
an impersonal life into a personal one are analyzed. The psychologist must be the
personification of an individual and by his | her way of life prove that spiritual perfections
possible and to help those who seek to develop their own potential. The requirements for
educator in the conditions of necessity of transformation of the impersonal model of
educational process into the personal one are formulated.
It is substantiated that the idea of personal being requires metaphysical and
conceptual characters for its embodiment. The philosopher should be a metaphysical
character of social being, and the psychologist, scientist, artist and educator should be the
conceptual characters. The philosopher must be responsible for the content of the
concepts, and theories that he puts into the basis of being. The psychologist, together with
the philosopher, is responsible for the state of social consciousness and the direction of
development of society: personal or impersonal. The scientist determines the nature of the
relationship of man with nature. The purpose of the artist and the educator is to form a
personal beginning in man and society.
It is proved that the core of the original principle of being should be a world-view
law: “Personality is the principle of being”. We see the perspectives of the proposed law in
the following provisions: we get a methodological apparatus for an in-depth understanding
of the content of social being, the essence of man, his incentives for activity, intellectual
and psychological and spiritual development.
Keywords: metaphysics, being, the beginning, principles of social being,
personality, personal paradigm of human being, impersonal paradigm of human being,
metaphysical character, conceptual character.
