Dissertation for granting the academic degree of Ph.D. of geographical Sciences,
specialty 11.00.05 – biogeography and geography of soils. – Ivan Franko National
University of Lviv, 2015.
The dissertation covers the history, problems and theoretical methodological basis
of studies of soils, which are at initial stages of development. The specificity of soil
formation on products elyuviohenezy dense carbonate rocks. Described in detail the
complex factors of soil genesis and characteristics rendzinas in Western Podolia.
Gross analyzed the chemical composition and energy and thermodynamic
parameters of the objects, whereby it was found difference between eluvial weathering
crust and rendzinas formed in different geomorphology-phytocoenotic conditions.
Therefore rendzinas are more important crystal lattice energy and Gibbs free energy.
Analysis of molar ratios, and the balance factor leach substances showed that the studied
soils typical intensive surface weathering and dissolution processes and leaching
carbonates.
The leading influence the nature and direction of manifestation initial soil, including
the accumulation of humus and biofilnyh elements and the intensity of the formation of the
genetic profile of the studied soil is a biological factor, especially the dominance of
herbaceous plant associations.
And supplement the theoretical and methodological principles of soil formation and
study initial rendzinas different geomorphology-phytocoenotic conditions at the tract.
Systematic and generalized materials of the research can be used to solve genetic
(ontogenetic) and geographical classification problems within the Western Podolia. The
results are offered to improve methods of soil-geographic zone and optimize the use of
forest soils.
Keywords: initial soil, rendzinas, geomorphology-phytocenotic, energy and
thermodynamic properties, carbonates, gross chemical composition, group and fractional
composition of humus.
