Human capital in the strategy of competitiveness of the European Union’s economy

Annotation

The thesis provides developed theoretical and methodological provisions as well as practical advice on human capital development as a factor of improving the competitiveness of the economy of Ukraine in terms of integration in the socio-economic environment of the European Union.

On the basis of using methodology of calculation Spearman’s rank correlation, the author analyzes the impact of human capital development on the state of competitiveness of the economies of countries of the European Union as a whole. Scientific approaches to determining the role and place of human capital as an important strategic resource of the state, the characteristics of the nature of social capital as a specific system of relations, and conceptual approaches to the classification of social state in the EU countries are improved.

The research of influence of the informatization processes on the development of human capital were further developed in the paper; that allowed summarizing positive and negative effects in terms of such components as: health equity, intellectual and labour capital, organizational and entrepreneurial capital, cultural capital.

Based on the carried out research, conceptual basis of the model of human capital development of Ukraine in terms of European integration is developed, the latter being based on the EU standards and provided a clear coherent and responsible policy of the state and the private sector, as well as the population, will help create the conditions for self-development and self-sufficiency of the population.
